The sociological craft through the lens of theatre

Since its inception as an academic discipline in the 19th century, sociology has carried internal tension between “scientific” and “hermeneutic” orientations. In response to this tension, present article reviews important sociological publications that address art-science dichotomy explores relationship artistic work on society.
